Sakarya University campus is open to public access. Security at the entrances and exits is provided by camera recording systems and license plate recognition systems. Individuals can access the buildings or green areas, parking lots and natural areas at Sakarya University.

The library located on the Sakarya University campus is open to public access. Individuals can come to the library building and benefit from the books and publications there. In addition, people can benefit online from the digital resources of which the library is a member, without coming to the library building.

Conferences, conferences, panels and seminar events held at Sakarya University are open to public access. Additionally, the exhibitions and art galleries opened by the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture are open to public access and participation (https://stmf.sakarya.edu.tr/tr/tr). Concerts and various art shows are organized regularly every year by the State Conservatory within Sakarya University (https://dk.sakarya.edu.tr/tr). Theater and art shows prepared by Sakarya University are free of charge. Private and public theaters can also use halls at the convention center.

Sakarya University carries out projects to record and/or preserve intangible cultural heritage such as local folklore, traditions, language and knowledge. For example; With the "Sakarya Cuisine from Soil to Table" project carried out jointly by the faculty members of the university and the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the dishes that were about to be forgotten in the region were recorded and later turned into an award-winning book (https://www.kitaptansanattan.com/topraktan-sofraya -sakarya-mutfagi/). In addition, many shows or events are organized at Sakarya University in order to disseminate the cultural heritage with active local and international roots.
