Academic and administrative staff at Sakarya University are subject to the Civil Servants Law No. 657. According to this law; There is no gender discrimination in the rules applied in the employment of permanent civil servants, permanent workers, lecturers or instructors in all public institutions and organizations in Turkey. In addition, Sakarya University has defined a Human Resources Policy and adopted a policy of non-discrimination against female employees within this scope.

According to the Civil Servants Law No. 657 at Sakarya University, female employees have the right to paid leave before and after birth. After the paid leave period expires, female employees can extend their maternity leave period for up to 2 years without pay. Male employees have the right to receive paid paternity leave after giving birth. Female employees are given maternity leave for three hours a day for the first six months and one and a half hours a day for the second six months, after the end of the maternity leave period, to breastfeed their child. The choice of the female employee is essential regarding the hours and number of times per day that maternity leave will be used. There is a kindergarten facility on campus for academic and administrative staff who have children of preschool education age. There is also a foundation school owned by the university foundation, serving students from pre-school to high school. The foundation school provides discounted services to university staff.

More than 10% of our female students attend the annual international interdisciplinary women's studies congress and the educational and social events organized by our Women's Research Center. Our university has programs aimed at measuring/monitoring the probability of women graduating compared to men and closing the gaps. Education periods and graduation rates of male and female students are monitored. Accordingly, women's graduation time is shorter than men, and their graduation rates are higher than men's. At Sakarya University, we conduct research and studies to shorten the graduation time and increase the graduation rates of all our students.

Sakarya University employees or students can submit all their requests and complaints through the Quality Management Information System without providing identification. All complaints at the University have been managed according to the ISO 10002 standard and in line with the Service Recipients' Satisfaction Policy since 2015. Within the scope of this system, people can directly forward their complaints and other requests to the department head, dean's office or rector's office. If the complainant is placed at a disadvantage due to the situation complained of or for a different reason, it is under the protection of the disciplinary regulation; An investigation is initiated within the scope of the disciplinary regulations of higher education institutions.
