Collaborations and Health Services

Sakarya University, which has a faculty of medicine, a faculty of dentistry and a vocational school of health services, provides various services in cooperation with local and national health institutions to disseminate education and health services in the field of health and to improve the health and well-being of its society.

With the protocol made between the Ministry of Health and Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine, health services are provided to the people of the region within the T.C. Sakarya University Training and Research Hospital of the Ministry of Health. According to this protocol, faculty members working at the Faculty of Medicine support the improvement of the health and well-being of the local people by providing health services within the hospital. In addition, faculty members and students can use public hospitals as research and application centers and participate in research activities, workshops, seminars, etc. carried out within the Ministry of Health and Sakarya Training and Research Hospital. Similarly, in accordance with the protocol signed with Sakarya University and Sakarya Provincial Health Directorate, the educational contents of the provincial health directorate were presented by Sakarya University Distance Education Center via internet-based distance education method.

Sakarya University offers many training programs and organizes events to raise awareness of local people on basic health issues. In this context, there are many courses open to public participation face to face or online. Within this scope, there are many trainings, both in-house and open to the public, on many subjects such as family planning, healthy nutrition, obesity, harmful substance use, infectious diseases, diet and health, sexual development, privacy education. Students from all grade levels, all faculties and departments, as well as non-university students, can attend these courses.

Sakarya University also supports improving the quality of health education in the nearby region. For example; In this context, according to the protocol signed with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University; Until the physical infrastructure and academic staff facilities of Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Faculty of Medicine are sufficient for medical education, students who will be placed in Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Faculty of Medicine will complete their 1st, 2nd and 3rd year basic education at Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine (https ://tip.sakarya.edu.tr/tr/duyuru/goster/124135/isbirligi-prototkolu).

In addition, Sakarya University carries out various projects to improve health opportunities at national and international levels. Faculty members of Sakarya University, who work in non-governmental organizations operating in different fields (SETA, etc.), work on health-related issues, contribute to projects on global health conditions, and produce analyzes and reports on the policies of the World Health Organization.
