Collaboration with NGO's

As an institution, Sakarya University collaborates with NGOs to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Additionally, it supports the activities of student communities within the university in this direction. Resources are also allocated and support is provided for academic activities conducted by the university’s academic staff based on the SDGs.

Collaboration is aimed at combating poverty

A ‘End Poverty Meeting’ was organized by the Community Contribution and Sustainability Office (TOKAS) in the Rectorate Meeting Hall of Sakarya University (SAU).

The meeting was attended by SAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Özer Köseoğlu, TOKAS Deputy Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aliye Suna ERSES YAY, representatives from the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Social Services Department, Orphan and Needy Children Education and Solidarity Association (YÖÇEYDER), KIZILAY Sakarya, Sakarya Culture and Social Aid Foundation (SAKVA), as well as academics, student community leaders, and students.

Thank You Plaque for SAU Volunteers

A thank you plaque was presented to the volunteer team consisting of students and graduates from the Child Development Department of the Sakarya University (SAU) Vocational School of Health Services.

The Youth and Volunteering Course is Being Launched at SAU

Based on a comprehensive cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Council of Higher Education aimed at promoting youth activities and developing volunteer activities, the ‘Youth and Volunteering’ course, with the course code SAU 501, has been introduced as a university-wide elective course at our university starting from the 2023-2024 academic year. The ‘Youth and Volunteering’ course aims to strengthen the ties between the university and the community by enabling students to use the knowledge, skills, and experiences they have gained throughout their education. Students will participate in various volunteer activities to gain awareness of various issues and problems in society, such as migration and disasters, disabilities, and disadvantaged groups, including humanitarian, social, and economic problems.

A New Step in University-Industry Collaboration

A cooperation protocol was signed between Sakarya University (SAU) and Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) to facilitate bilateral agreements in education, teaching, and research.
