Sakarya University (SAU) provides vegetarian-friendly, meat-free main course alternatives alongside its standard menus in university dining halls to accommodate different dietary preferences among students and staff and promote access to plant-based food options.

According to the official statement of the Cafeterias and Catering Services Branch Directorate, meat-free main course options are available for vegetarian students in university dining halls. Furthermore, the University's Frequently Asked Questions page explains that students who prefer not to consume meat can request a meat-free main course directly from the food service staff.

The University regularly publishes its meal menus and makes them publicly accessible through the SABİS Monthly Meal Menu platform. These menus also include meat-free alternatives featuring legumes and vegetables, allowing students and staff to review available meal options in advance.

Through its vegetarian-friendly meal alternatives, main course selection system, and publicly accessible meal menus, Sakarya University supports access to plant-based food options and enables students and staff with different dietary preferences to benefit from university dining services.
