Sakarya University tracks the gender distribution of students who complete registration after placement. For the 2025 reporting period, the relevant entry cohort is the 2025–2026 academic-year cohort: its admissions and registration process took place in 2025, at the start of the Turkish academic year. Reporting the full 2025 calendar-year total would also include registrations belonging to the 2024 entry cohort and would therefore not represent a single incoming cohort. These records provide a basis for tracking women’s share among newly registered entrants. The Gender Equality Plan 2022–2025 provides for annual monitoring and reporting by the University Senate and the Women’s Studies Application and Research Centre (SAUKAM). [1, 2]

The Student Affairs archive provides annual registration tables from 2021–2022 to 2025–2026. The two most recent tables distinguish women and men across faculties, institutes and vocational schools, including different modes of study. The following figures are taken from the published overall totals. [2, 3, 4]

| Academic year | Women | Men | Total entrants | Women’s share |
| 2024–2025 | 6,747 | 5,681 | 12,428 | 54.29% |
| 2025–2026 | 6,029 | 5,219 | 11,248 | 53.60% |
Women’s share among newly registered entrants = women newly registered ÷ all newly registered students × 100. This is the gender composition of the completed-registration cohort, not women’s application rate or acceptance probability. Percentages are calculated from sources [3] and [4], rounded to two decimal places.
Women represented 53.60% of the 11,248 new entrants in 2025–2026, compared with 54.29% of the 12,428 new entrants in 2024–2025. Student Affairs records these as completed registrations. [2, 3, 4, 8]

Table 5.1.1 of the 2025 Administrative Activity Report records 26,219 women and 23,720 men, totalling 49,939 students. Women account for 52.50% of this reported population. The table provides gender breakdowns by institutional category and study mode. These existing-student figures are reported separately from the new-entry cohorts. [5]
