Academic and administrative staff may apply directly to the Foundation Schools to enrol a child of preschool age on the school’s ordinary fee-paying terms. The Foundation operates the preschool. [1, 5]
The study in autumn 2025 concerned families with children aged five and six. National admission rules distinguish between types of preschool and set conditions for admitting younger children. [4, 8]

The preschool, formerly on the university campus, is now at the Foundation Schools approximately four kilometres away. As of November 2026, SAÜ reports a starting age of 36 months and daily hours of 08:00–17:30. The Foundation advertised preschool registration in January 2026 and its public directory listed three preschool teachers in November 2026. [2, 3, 7]
